Ingredients
Crumble filling:
- 1 tsp Releaf™
- 3 ½ c blackberries or black raspberries
- 1 c raspberries (can sub cranberries, chopped apples etc)
- 2 tsp orange or lemon juice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- Dash of cinnamon
- Dash of cloves (optional)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
For the crisp topping:
- ½ c salted butter
- 1 c flour
- 3/4 c oats
- 1/3 c brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In a bowl, gently stir together berries, sugars, Releaf™, spices, orange juice and cornstarch.
- Pour into a casserole pan and spread out evenly. Set aside and make the crisp topping.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir constantly until the foam subsides and you can see the butter has turned brown and smells caramely.
- Immediately, pour butter into a bowl and let cool down.
- In a small bowl, stir together the flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon. Then, stir in the browned butter.
- Sprinkle the topping over the berries and bake for about 35-40 minutes. Crisp should be golden brown when done.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes and serve with vanilla bean ice cream
